The parent teacher relationship is one of the most important relationships that will be established in your child’s academic career. Here are just three ways to create and maintain a positive collaboration with your child’s teacher.
A Gift for Appreciation
1) Surprise your teacher with a gift! It doesn’t have to be fancy. This can range from bringing your teacher lunch for the day or providing a gift for Christmas, your teacher’s birthday, and or for Teacher’s Appreciation Week.
The Value in Volunteering
2). Volunteer inside the classroom. Your child’s teacher has oodles and oodles of things to cut out, staple, or organize all simultaneously while teaching your child and maintaining their safety! Help lighten the load for him or her by volunteering to come in and complete some tasks for him/her.
Words Are Priceless
3) Send a note. Short in cash? Positive affirmations and or a kind word here or there are free and always needed in abundance! Write a letter, decorate a card, or put it in an email. Make your teacher’s day by expressing some much needed encouragement!
There are plenty of other ways to strengthen the parent teacher relationship but above are some of the easiest and quickest ways to do so! Enjoy!
